Appointment of Anne Salzmann as Head of School

June 24, 2010

It was announced today by Steve Johnson, President of the Governing Council of The MASTERS Program, that Anne Salzmann has been chosen as Head of School of the new early college charter high school located on the campus of Santa Fe Community College.

Anne Salzmann has been Assistant Head Learner at Monte Del Sol charter school since its inception seven years ago as well as Interim Head Learner for one year. Prior to her charter school experience in Santa Fe she was Head of School at Verde Valley School in Sedona, Arizona and associated with that private high school and on its board for many years. Anne holds a Masters in Education from Harvard University. Coincidentally, both Anne and The MASTERS Program Founder John Bishop grew up in Sedona.

We thank Shelly Cherrin of Alice King Community charter school in Albuquerque for being our Interim Principal.

MASTERS stands for Math, Arts, Science, Technology, Engineering, Reading and Service.
